The Department of Public Health is a vital department dedicated to fostering academic excellence in public health and global health through imparting theory and practical based learning for protecting and enhancing the health and well-being of communities. The Masters of Public Health (MPH) programme aims to transform students into tomorrow's public health graduates who will contribute to improving the public's ability to live healthy and safe lives. Through inter sectoral training, they become a valuable asset in addressing the various facets of development, health and social factors which define and influence our lives. The MPH programme is modular and runs over a period of 24 months
To be eligible for admission, a candidate shall have obtained graduation in any oneof the following from an institution recognized by responsible council whereverapplicable: Bachelors in Medicine (MBBS), BDS, MDS, AYUSH, B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing,B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy Allied health science (Bachelors of Science inMicrobiology, Food and Nutrition, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, DentalTechnology, Cardiovascular technology, Anesthesia and Operation theater , MedicalLaboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Neuroscience technology,Perfusion Technology, Physician Associate, Optometry, Renal Dialysis, technology,Radiotherapy, Respiratory technology, Trauma care management etc.) and otherHealth sciences.The candidate shall have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate of marks in all the years of university examination. In case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.The programme shall be pursued on a full-time basis. Candidates with any other health science background are eligible.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health ( PGD-PH) programme is designed for individuals wanting to build their knowledge and skills in public health but remain restricted to core skills and not cover a diverse range of thematic components. This program supports in learning core public health skills and also is reliant on self directed learning.
