Yenepoya Ethics Committee-4
Welcome to the official website of Yenepoya Ethics Committee 4 (YEC-4), operational from January 1, 2025. YEC-4 is a dedicated ethics review body established under Yenepoya Deemed-to-be University to address the growing demand for ethical oversight in research proposals.
Our committee reviews research proposals from the following constituent colleges:
- Yenepoya School Of Allied Health Sciences
- Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, commerce and management
- Yenepoya Institute of Engineering & Technology
With a multidisciplinary panel of experts, YEC-4 ensures all research projects meet the highest ethical standards, protecting the rights and dignity of participants while fostering high-quality academic research.

To promote ethical and socially responsible research by providing a robust framework for ethical review and compliance, ensuring the well-being of research participants and contributing to scientific advancement.
Mission:
- To uphold ethical research practices in alignment with ICMR and DHR guidelines.
- To deliver timely and objective reviews of research proposals.
- To support researchers with clear and actionable guidance for compliance.
- To facilitate a collaborative and ethical research environment.
Affiliation
YEC-4 is affiliated with Yenepoya Deemed-to-be University and is recognized by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The committee adheres to ICMR ethical guidelines and maintains compliance with national and international standards.
