Operational from January 1, 2025, YEC-3 is an independent ethics review body established under the aegis of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). It has been constituted to meet the growing need for ethical review and oversight in research involving human participants, ensuring that all proposals adhere to the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.
The Yenepoya Ethics Committee 3, a recognized unit under Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in research and academic practices. Guided by the principles of integrity, respect for human dignity, and social responsibility, the committee provides an independent and competent review of research proposals involving human participants. Its primary aim is to safeguard research subjects' rights, safety, and well-being while promoting scientific and ethical excellence. Functioning following national and international ethical guidelines, the committee ensures that all research under its purview is conducted responsibly, transparently, and in line with the mission and values of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).
