MPH Scholars visit Tile Factory to understand and discuss Occupational Health Issues.

MPH Scholars visited a popular Tile Factory in Coastal Karnataka to understand the occupational health, safety measures, and public health implications within an industrial setup, and to relate them to existing labour and health policies.

Objectives:

• To observe working conditions and identify possible occupational health hazards.
• To understand the implementation of safety measures as per the Factories Act, 1948 and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code (2020).
• To explore the role of public health in promoting worker welfare and disease prevention.
