Student Grievance Committee
Preamble
The Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) is committed to fostering a student-centric
environment that upholds the values of fairness, transparency, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
The University acknowledges the importance of providing a structured and accessible
mechanism through which students can voice their concerns without fear of discrimination,
bias, or retaliation.
As per the guidelines of Based on the guidelines from the University Grants Commission
(UGC) and other statutory bodies, Student Grievance Redressal Mechanism is established by
the University to ensure that all students—across the University and its constituent
units—have the right to be heard and to seek redressal of their grievances in a timely and
impartial manner.
Objectives:
- Promote a safe, supportive, and responsive academic and administrative environment;
- Encourage open communication between students and the institution;
- Resolve grievances effectively and at the earliest possible stage;
- Strengthen accountability and service delivery within the institution;
- Uphold the dignity and welfare of students at all levels.
Scope of the Grievance Redressal Committee
Redressal of the student grievances seeking admission to the institutions are categorized under the

- Admissions and Fees
- Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Academic and Examination Issues
- Equity and Student Rights
- Institutional Accountability
The College Grievance Redressal Committee is responsible for the following:
- Considering and resolving grievances registered by students, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and confidentiality at all times.
- Maintaining proper documentation of all addressed grievances.
- Submitting periodic reports on grievance redressal to the University.
The University Student Grievance Redressal Committee shall:
- Handle grievances referred by the respective College Grievance Redressal Committees.
- Hear appeals from students regarding the actions taken by the College Committee.
