The Gender Sensitization Cell (GSC) from Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) organized a program to mark the 'International Women's day' on 08.03.2025 at Yendurance Zone, Mangaluru. Mrs Anusha, welcomed the gathering with introductory remarks. Dr. Gladys R Colaco, secretary of GSC presented the program report for the year 2024-25. The guest of honor, Dr Gangadhara somayaji Registrar,yenepoya (Deemed to be university), emphasized the need for gender equity. The best woman employee award was presented by the dignitaries to Mrs. Seema Latha, Chief Librarian Yenepoya Degree College. The chief guest, Ms Geetha Kulkarni Assistant commissioner of police, CCRB, Mangaluru city, highlighted on being vigilant towards cybercrime issues. Dr Leena K C Convener ,Gender sensittisation cell Yenepoya (Deemed to be university), presided over the program and stressed for the need to embrace equity equally amongst both men and women for a better world. The program was witnessed by dignitaries, faculty coordinators, gender champions and student representatives from various institutions of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). The inaugural program was followed by thanksgiving and National anthem. Subsequently, the student cultural programs depecting the theme of the day followed.
