Yen-CAHE to Host Faculty Development Programme on Competency-Based Education

Yenepoya Centre for Allied & Healthcare Education (Yen-CAHE), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with the Karnataka State Allied and Healthcare Council (KSAHC), is organizing a three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled "Transforming Teaching and Learning with Competency-Based Education" from 25th to 27th June 2026 at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore.

This FDP aims to equip allied & healthcare educators with the knowledge and practical skills required for effective implementation of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework introduced by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP). The programme includes expert sessions and hands-on training on structured lesson planning, CO-PO mapping, innovative teaching strategies, competency-based assessment methods including OSCE, OSPE, and DOPS, integration of AI tools in education, and microteaching with structured feedback.

The programme will provide a valuable platform for faculty members to strengthen their teaching practices, enhance academic excellence, and contribute towards the future of allied healthcare education.
