The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been globally recognized as an integral part of the modern education system. Here at Yenepoya we strongly embed our learning and teaching programs core ICT tools


University provides E-Learning facility (Yengage) to all our students, staff, and faculty using the web-based portal exclusively for Yenepoyans. Students can view and download the daily course content along with the other learning resources at their own pace. Student-teacher communication on academics using online forums, discussions are a possibility 24X7. Online document management and e-tests are a regular part of life for our students.

Hospital Information & Management System:

Yenepoya Medical College hospital is a 1000 bedded busy hospital with thousands of patients each day. ICT again plays a major role in managing the patient experience right from patient registration until the discharge. We train our interns and PG students for active participation in patient management. Our students are exposed and trained to state of the art technology solutions in hospital operations including laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services. Our students are “job ready” when they graduated and inducted into challenging modern ICT enabled workforce anywhere in the globe.

Digital Radiology, Picture Archival and Retrieval System (PACS):

The state of the art PACS system connects the radiology services to all patient areas and departments in the hospital. Our students are trained “on the job” to use the PACS for viewers and the integrated reporting modules of radiology.

Wi-Fi enabled Campus:

We are a digital campus, our 90 % of the campus living area are under the Wi-Fi umbrella. Students are given secure managed access to the internet and learning resources from all college blocks including the hostels. Over 300 wireless devices work 24X7 to keep our campus connected.

Laptop Program:

To be ICT enabled we need the right tools and the support system. That’s why Yenepoya started the laptop program from 2011. Hardware and software support is part of the in-house ICT section which works round the clock to keep technology working all the time. We also support the BYOD model for students and faculty.

ICT infrastructure and services:

We are interconnected with Gigabit data link throughout the campus and 1GBps Internet bandwidth through NKN (National Knowledge Network). All classrooms are well connected with the LAN facilities along with necessary digital teaching/learning aids. University hosts a dedicated e-test centre with the capacity of 80 seats for accommodating the e-learning online tests and entrance tests as needed. Access to national and international research networks, national datasets, collaborative research with companies, e-learning, video conferencing and high-speed access to the network resources including Institutional repository on DSpace, HELINET, EBSCO and various e-journals databases facilitated. Automated E-mail/SMS based updates to the parents on attendance and internal assessments are also performed.

Dedicated ICT Centre at Yenepoya University is served by with experienced engineers, technicians, software developers, and network and system administrators. ICT Center provides quality services and support and manages state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure and business applications, with seamless and secure access that support learning, teaching, research, and administrative functions.
