Explore moreI am what I am today because of my qualification and that was possible because of the opportunity that I got at Yenepoya dental college to be a qualified dentist. My alma mater is, and will always be my inspiration to do better in my career and life. I was awestruck and proud to see the well-established research centre and incubation centre at the campus during my last visit to the university. I wish the university and Yenepoya Dental College all the very best.
Apart from academics and professionalism, the sense of belonging that Yenepoya gives to its students and Alumni is unique. We came in as raw immature teenagers and the values that our time at YDC gave us, molded us to what we are today. When we joined the college in 1994, Yenepoya was not a known name in the field of Medical Education. All respects and accolades to the management of Yenepoya who had this vision and worked towards creating this University to what it is now.
Am proud and happy to have had five dental specialists who are YDC alumni and my dear friends namely Dr Mohammed Shahid, Dr Shaji Wahabuddin, Dr Mehanas KK, Dr Shafees Koya and Dr Sulfia Nasser working with me in my medical centre. Ever grateful to my Alma mater for all my success and the fond memories of a life time.
He is settled in the UK for the last 15 years with his private practice and is also the course director of implant training programs.
As many of you may not be aware, I was the first one to register as a student in the prestigious college and university and it's an honor to write this. If it weren't for YDC, I would not be writing this testimony today. I am indebted to this institution for all my success in life. I had the honor to be invited to speak at my Alma Mater in 2019 and I am thankful to the Yenepoya University Alumni Association YUAA.
It would be my pleasure to thank any and all of the teachers, lecturers and professors who have taught us and shaped us to be a good dentist and more importantly a great individual. Jiyo Yenepoya!!
